Hey there, everyone
This article will help you with adding your 3D Models to your 3D Print Force Account.
Your models are the backbone of your print farm and is where all of the expense, fees, and profit come together to give you a clear picture of your model pricing and farm profitability.
Because the models bring everything together its best to have created at least one of the following prior to adding your models:
- Filaments (Adding Filament)
- Printers (Adding Printers)
- Shipping Profiles (Adding Shipping Profiles)
- Sales Platforms (Adding Sales Platforms)
How to add 3D Modesl:
- Navigate to the "3D Models" page using the left side navigation menu.
- Models store alot of data for 3D Print Force to work to its full potential. It's for this reason that we added multiple ways to add models:
- Manual Entry
- CVS Bulk Upload
- Gcode Upload
The rest of this article will cover the manual entry. For more information on the Bulk Upload and Gcode Upload use the links below.

- Sku can contains letter and numbers. It should be unique and match the sku of any sales platform listing that is selling this model.
- Category can be anything that makes sense to you. Keep in mind you can sort by category
- Model Name can be anything that makes sense to you. This does NOT need to match the listing title of the sales platform
- Print Time is the time to print the model. This should not include any human labor time. Only the actual print time.

3D Print Force supports multi part, multi filament models. Meaning that you can track the cost of each filament used to create a model whether its 1 filament or 10.

3D Print Force supports the tracking of human labor when creating each model.
Print Preparation includes any time it takes to start the print. For basic models this might not be very much. However personalized products might take more time to get started.
Post Processing includes any time it take to get the product ready to be shipped out. This may include removing from build plate, packaging it, etc.
- Complete the Other Supplies section.
3D Print Force supports tracking other supplies needed to complete a model. This could be things like magnets, command strips, screws, etc.
Add any supplies needed for this model.
Quick Tips:
- Other supplies only need to be created once and can be added to multiple models via the drop down.
- Complete the Shipping section.
Shipping Charge is the price you charge the buyer to ship the product. This could and probably should be different from you shipping "cost" you entered when creating your shipping profiles.
Shipped Weight is the weight of the package when ready to be shipped out.
Shipping Profile. Select the shipping profile that this model belongs to.
- Select what printers this model prints on.
- Select what sales channels this model is sold on.
- After saving we can now see our newly created model and are able to add the sales price for each sales channel. Doing so then allows us to see the models COGS, Platform Fees, and profits.
