Filament
Welcome to Filament 101
Your filament page is home to all the different filaments you use while operating your print farm. It tracks all your different filament brands, materials, and colors. You can also track your filament cost and KGs you have on hand. You can store your purchase link making re-ordering easy.
Adding Filament
There three ways to add filament to your 3DPF account.
Add Single Filament
Using the ‘Add Filament’ button will present you with a popup where you can populate all the filament information needed.

Bulk Upload
If you have many filaments you offer to your customer using our CSV bulk upload is a great way to save time.

Duplicate Existing Filament
It’s not uncommon for sellers of 3d printed products to run many different colors of the same filament brand and material. Our duplicating filament feature is a great way to quickly add a bunch of the same brand filament allowing you to get the bulk up the date inputed and then going back and just updating the color.

Stock Levels
3D Print Force when connected to a users Etsy* shop has the ability to track filament usage for each order received. As an order is received a deduction of filament is made to your Stock level. When any filament gets below your Reserve level an alert will be given prompting you to reorder so you never run out of filament.

Marketing Names
Often times when selling 3d printed products the color name of the filament from the brand is not always the same as the marketing color you will use to sell.
3D Print Force lets users add as many color names for each filament as they’d like. When an order is received using the “marketing” name it will still be link to that filament making sure all stock deduction and product Cost of Good Calculations are correct.

*Stock level management is only available to users who have connected Etsy shops. More details on how to connect your Etsy shop can be found here.
